# About

I'm Danny Keane, a Principal Product Designer on the founding team at Guild.ai, where we're building infrastructure for AI agents. The company is backed by Khosla Ventures and GV.

I'm usually the first designer a company hires, and I work across design, product, and engineering. I've done that for twenty years, from YC seed rounds to two billion users.

## What I do

I was the first designer at Zesty (Y Combinator W14, $17M Series A, sold to Square) and employee #12 at Titan, which went from Series A to a $450M valuation with a16z backing.

My work spans product design, design systems, AI and generative AI, product strategy, and enterprise software. I write the code too, in React, TypeScript, Next.js and Python, which is why this site is a terminal rather than a slide deck.

Guild.ai, founding team, present. Building infrastructure for AI agents.

### Jasper.ai

Jasper.ai (2023-2025), Principal Product Designer. Set the product vision for the enterprise push, which doubled enterprise revenue and brought adoption across nearly 20% of the Fortune 500.

### Titan

Titan (2021-2022), Founding Designer, employee #12. Series A to a $450M valuation. Best Wealth Management Solution, 2021-2024.

### YouTube / Google

YouTube / Google (2017-2021), Product Design Lead. Built YouTube Communities from zero and shipped it to YouTube's 2B monthly users. YouTube Giving raised $10M+.

### Zesty

Zesty (2013-2017), first hire, YC W14. $17M Series A, then sold to Square.

### Truphone

Truphone (2011-2013), Product Design Lead. Built the first app team, and the work unlocked $118M in funding.

### NEVERBLAND

NEVERBLAND (2009-2011), employee #4 and on the founding team at a London startup studio. Before that, freelance from the age of 14, with clients including Y Combinator.

## Side projects

figmanage is an open-source CLI and MCP server for Figma workspace admin, with 122 tools and 3K+ downloads in its first week.

My Figma plugins, Redlines among them, handle design-to-dev handoff. They have 130K+ installs and became staples on design systems teams at Google, Facebook, Airbnb, and Apple.

My open-source CSS animation and retina-display work on Bootstrap shipped as part of the flight software on NASA's Ingenuity Mars helicopter. I'm also a GitHub Arctic Code Vault contributor.

Through Composition Ventures I angel invest in design-driven startups.

## Where I am

I'm based in San Francisco, CA. I'm on the founding team at Guild.ai and not actively looking, but always open to a good conversation, particularly with AI-native teams still figuring out how their product should work.
